Park: Created in 1980, Desert National Park is an amazing assortment of sand dunes, rough rocks, pavements and wood fossils. It beckons you to explore its wildlife such as the Great Indian Bustard, Black Buck, chinkara, wolf, Indian fox, desert fox, hare, desert cat and the amazing spiny-tail lizard. For the bird enthusiasts Desert National Park offers the sightings of sand grouse, gray partridge, quails, peafowl and some insects eating birds like bee-eaters, shrikes, orioles, drongos, warblers and babblers. However, you have to be on your toes to catch a glimpse of these avian species. Climate Sprawling over an area of 3162 sq km, Desert National Park is one of the largest parks in India. The park's climate is quite hot in summer as the temperature reaches to almost 50ºC. The temperature in winter ranges between 25ºC to 10ºC. |
