Pokharan Attraction

Pokharan

PokharanPokhran is a small town located in the Western Rajasthan. One of the major attractions of the town is Pokhran Fort. The fort was constructed four centuries ago all in yellow sandstone by Rao Maldeo, the Thakur of Marwar.

The architectural marvel houses a small temple built in the honour of Goddess Durga. Yet another attraction inside the fort is the Pokhran Museum that takes you back into the bygone era. The museum spills an array of miniature paintings, armoury, costumes of the former kings and pottery items that leave you speechless at the very first sight. This is not all. Several stunning palaces also stand inside the premises of the Pokhran Fort. Structures namely Phool Mahal, Mangal Niwas, Rani Mahal and Hawa Mahal are breathtakingly beautiful.

The Pokhran Fort has now been transformed into a Heritage Hotel that offers to be the best available accommodation while you are in Pokhran. Activate your taste buds at the multi-cuisine restaurant of the Pokhran Fort.

In Pokhran, shop for interior crafts and furniture that will enhance your home décor. We recommend you to visit Pokhran between October to March and travel with us so as to ensure complete safety throughout the holiday.

Reaching Pokhran is not a problem as it is accessible from the major cities of Rajasthan including Jodhpur and Jaisalmer. Jaisalmer is the nearest airport from Pokhran which is about 112 kilometres from Pokhran. Then, Jodhpur is another convenient airport which is 175 kilometres from Pokhran. Private taxis and buses are available from both the airports to reach over to Pokhran.
