Havelis of Mandawa

Havelis of MandawaThe painted havelis of Mandawa built by the wealthy merchants of the place are an addition to the architectural wealth of the town. The rich merchants from the Marwari community erected the havelis in Mandawa. The beauty of these havelis have made them popular world over. Once, these havelis functioned as a residence of the erstwhile royal families. Most of then have now been converted into Heritage Hotels.

One such attraction in Mandawa is the Mandawa Haveli. The 15th ruler of Mandawa, Thakur Bhagwat Singhji had constructed the Mandawa Haveli in the year 1896. The haveli lies in the heart of the Shekhawati region near Sonthaliya gate. A number of pillars and arches inside the haveli reflect the Jaipuri style of architecture. It is known for its architecture. Under the guidance of the 17th ruler Thakur Devi Singhji, the haveli was converted into a Heritage Hotel.

The hotel offers a perfect blend of traditional architecture with modern amenities. Till date, it reflects the old world charm at its best. Personalized services and warm Rajasthani hospitality make the guests feel at home. Intricately carved wooden furniture is present in all the 28 well-appointed rooms. Historical objects and royal portraits adorn the walls of these spacious rooms. The lawns, terraces and the courtyards offer an impressive view of the Nahargarh Fort. The dining hall at the hotel is also beautiful. Friendly services pamper the guests. The whole experience of staying at this fine residence is a memorable one.
